“An Older Person I Admire”

Cobble Hill Health Center’s robust intergenerational programming enriches the lives of our residents enormously throughout the year. Last week we hosted an awards ceremony for four annual essay contest winners. Elementary school students at the International School of Brooklyn wrote essays about “An Older Person I Admire”.

The winners received certificates, a gift card, and ISB sponsored an ice cream coupon.

Messages of Appreciation

“I live in Lower Manhattan and when my mom got advanced Alzheimer’s, I looked everywhere for a place that would take good care of her, Manhattan, Flushing the Bronx. I felt that at Cobble Hill the staff was on top of things and very knowledgeable. In particular Cordell, the Director of Admissions.”

– Marianne W.

“When my dad’s sugar went up to over 400 because he wasn’t taking his insulin, I knew I needed help. He was confused and kept falling. I lived upstate and was so worried. I was grateful that I could get him into Cobble Hill. It was clean, the staff was so helpful.”
