As part of our ongoing efforts to put our residents’ health and safety first, we are implementing the following new policies and procedures to minimize any potential exposure of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) here at Cobble Hill Health Center.

  • Visitors will only be permitted for residents who are end of life.  All others will unfortunately be restricted at this time.
  • All staff will be screened on a daily basis for symptoms of illness
  • All resident “out on pass” orders will be terminated.
  • All residents will be monitored for new respiratory symptoms and if necessary, placed on isolation precautions.
  • Large gatherings will be cancelled.
  • Everyone permitted to enter the building will be required to follow certain strict infection control protocol

We understand that these new changes may cause families and residents distress.  Our psychologists and social workers will increase their rounding to ensure residents are emotionally well and supported.

We have set up a special COVID-19 hotline for any questions or concerns specific to this.  Messages will be responded to as soon as we are able to.

We will also be updating the Cobble Hill Health Center website as often as necessary with any changes.

This is a rapidly evolving situation and we will be updating our action plans with the help of the Department of Health and the CDC as time goes on.

We appreciate your understanding during this stressful time.
