Dear Extended Cobble Hill Family,
We hope you are continuing to stay safe. As you saw in our previous correspondence,
the Department of Health (DOH) arrived at the end of this week to swab all residents for
COVID-19. Just prior to swabbing taking place, we alerted all alert residents and the family
members of those residents who are unable to make their own decisions via a posting on our
website as well as a voice message via our automated call system.
We are happy to inform you that the swabbing has been completed and we hope to have
results by the middle of next week (5/13/2020). We expect that this swabbing will help us
identify asymptomatic residents who are COVID positive which will allow us to better cohort
residents. We will surely speak to all appropriate individuals once the results return. We are in
close and frequent contact with the NYS DOH who we will be collaborating with as we expand
our cohorting plan.
We thank you for your continued support and trust in us. We will continue to update our
website with all new COVID infections or deaths. As always, if you have questions or concerns,
please reach out to us. We have created a Q+A document about the testing which will be
posted on our website. Because our staff are working hard to provide care to your loved ones,
I’d respectfully ask that if you have questions or concerns about testing to please leave us a
message on our COVID hotline (718) 247-1153 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org instead of
calling the units. We will do our best to reply to all of those messages and emails as quickly as
we possibly can.
