Dear Extended Cobble Hill LifeCare Family,
We were notified late last night of a resident and staff member that tested positive for COVID 19. The resident has been moved to our dedicated COVID unit and the staff member placed on home quarantine.
As I’ve shared with you in the past several communications, we have seen a frustratingly high incidence rate of false positive results of late and it is quite likely that these too will be proven false positives. While we are exploring that with our lab, until that is proven we must treat these results as real positives and act accordingly.
As such, all residents on the following floors will remain quarantined and have gate visits suspended until 11/30 unless these results are reversed: 1A, 1B, 2B, 3A, 4A, and 5B
We understand how difficult these times are and want you to have every confidence that we are doing everything in power to protect our residents from COVID exposure. At the same time, we strongly value resident quality of life and work hard to keep movement around the unit and access to gate visits as flexible as possible.
