Dear Extended Cobble Hill Lifecare Family,

In my letter this past Monday I informed you of the positive covid results we received for one employee and one resident. I’m happy to let you know that the lab informed us yesterday that both of these results ended up false positives. We did however receive a new positive late yesterday of another employee that we believe is legitimately positive. The employee hasn’t been in since Monday and is quarantining at home. Unit 2B will have it’s quarantine extended 3 days on account of this new positive.

I want to again reiterate that we take positive results very seriously, even when there is a strong possibility of them being false positives. We are especially sensitive to this given the increase in COVID cases in the community.

In other news, we are preparing some very festive and enjoyable activities and meals for our residents next week in celebration of Thanksgiving.  I will share more details in next week’s letter.
