Dear Extended Cobble Hill LifeCare Family,

Yesterday we were informed of two employees testing positive for COVID-19. The two employees were immediately taken off schedule and placed on quarantine. Out of an abundance of caution, unit 4A has been placed on quarantine in the event there were any exposures. In order to identify any other potential cases, we are conducting full house outbreak testing for the next two weeks.

Pursuant to the new DOH visitation guidelines, visitors are still welcome to come and visit. Please just be cognizant of potential exposure as you visit. As a reminder, everyone is required to wear masks for the duration of the visit and remain in your resident’s room.

With the increase in community spread, it is not surprising that we are seeing an uptick in cases here as well. The good news is that the vaccine remains effective at preventing severe illness and hospitalization.

As a reminder, we do offer the COVID-19 vaccine and the booster here at Cobble Hill every Wednesday. If you are interested in getting your loved one vaccinated, please reach out to the floor Nurse or Social Worker and let them know.

If you have any specific questions or concerns about this, I encourage you to reach out to us via the COVID hotline at (718) 247-1153 or email us at covid19@cobblehill.org.

Thank you.
