Dear Extended Cobble Hill LifeCare Family,
Late yesterday we received a positive COVID test result from a staff member who worked on several units and early this morning of a dietary worker. The staff members are quarantining at home for 14 days and 1A, 2A, 3B and 5B units have been placed on quarantine as well. We understand the impact these quarantines have on residents and families and do so only out of an abundance of caution. I’m happy to let you know that the positive resident I wrote to you about last week was fortunately deemed a false positive as is becoming more common. Despite that, we take every positive result and treat it as a true positive until proven otherwise.
We received rave reviews from residents and staff on our Thanksgiving feast that included all of the traditional fare you’d expect at a delicious Thanksgiving meal. We thank our amazing new culinary team for really going above and beyond as well as our recreation and clinical teams for making the whole day festive and enjoyable. We are hard at work planning for the upcoming holidays to ensure they are spectacular.
Earlier this week, we did experienced some telephone equipment trouble as a result of strong winds. We apologize for any trouble reaching residents or staff. Almost all of the damaged equipment has been replaced and we hope for no more interruptions.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our hotline (718) 247-1153, or email us at familyupdates@cobblehill.org with any questions or concerns.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend,
Donny Tuchman
