Dear Extended Cobble Hill LifeCare Family,
Yesterday, we were informed by our lab that an employee (fully vaccinated) tested positive for COVID-19. The employee works on multiple floors, and is now on isolation. 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 2B, 3B, and 4B will remain on quarantine until we see no additional cases for 14 days.
The NYS Department of Health requires indoor visitation to be temporarily suspended while one round of outbreak testing is completed. We are doing our best to expedite this testing and to have all results in over the next two days. We realize how important visitation is and how unsettling it is to hear about new cases. We remain as vigilant as ever in preventing spread throughout the building.
While we have certainly seen vaccinated residents and staff get COVID, they either have no symptoms at all or very light ones. We strongly recommend everyone get vaccinated. We now have the ability to vaccinate residents and staff in-house. If you would like your loved one to be vaccinated, please let us know.
We realize how difficult this has been on everyone especially our residents and families. We look forward to even better times ahead with no cases and a normal routine.
Until then, we are here for you and your residents.
If you have any specific questions or concerns about this, I encourage you to reach out to us via the COVID hotline at (718) 247-1153 or email us at covid19@cobblehill.org.
Thank you.
