Good Morning Cobble Hill LifeCare Family!

Yesterday we were informed by our lab of a new COVID positive case. This was of a newly admitted non-vaccinated resident on 4A. The resident was moved to our COVID only unit.

As we shared in our last communication, we are seeing an uptick of cases in the surrounding communities and are therefore unfortunately also expecting additional cases within our facility. We are being super vigilant to prevent potential exposures and to proactively identify new cases early so as to minimize any spread.

While I can understand how this news is unsettling, we will update you frequently to keep you informed.

I can’t reiterate enough how important getting vaccinated is. While I’m glad that a large majority of our residents have chosen to be vaccinated, there are still some of you who have chosen not to have your loved ones vaccinated. While we will certainly honor your decision, I would urge you to reconsider. Vaccination is the truly only option, if protecting your loved one’s life is important to you. We have seen an abundance of evidence that the Pfizer vaccine is totally safe and effective amongst our residents. Please reach out to us to let us know if you would like your loved one vaccinated.

If you have any specific questions or concerns about this or anything else, I encourage you to reach out to us via the COVID hotline at (718) 247-1153 or email us at covid19@cobblehill.org.

Thank you!
