Dear Extended Cobble Hill LifeCare Family,
Over the weekend, we received 1 new positive resident result and 6 positive staff results. We certainly do expect some to be proven false positives. The resident was moved to our COVID only unit and the staff taken off schedule and placed on quarantine. Unfortunately, given the uptick in cases in the community, we should expect new positive cases to increase here as well.
As an extra precaution, we are placing all units on quarantine for the foreseeable future. I want to reassure you that we are taking all possible precautions to prevent any new COVID cases from entering and then spreading throughout our building. Our PPE supplies are strong as are our testing capabilities.
I well understand how unnerving these times are, and we are here for you in any way possible.
Recognizing that with the increase in cases we will not be able to open up official visitation any time soon, we have been working to winterize our gate visiting area to make it a bit more comfortable for our residents and visitors. We are open for further suggestions to make the gate visits even better.
