Dear Extended Cobble Hill LifeCare Family,
I’m happy to inform you that the positive cases I wrote to you about last week were determined by the lab to be false positives. As a reminder, whenever a resident or staff member tests positive, we immediately quarantine and begin contact tracing. We only discontinue that quarantine status if the lab officially amends the results. We are continuing to be very proactive with our surveillance and response to potential exposures.
We did have a staff member test positive over this past weekend. Fortunately, this staff members works in the back office and does not interact with residents. The employee in question was immediately taken off schedule and is quarantining at home.
