The holidays are always a joyous time of year at CHHC, thanks to the generosity of donors, volunteers and staff who contribute so much of themselves to ensure a festive season. The annual holiday luncheon, now in its fourth year, was held on Dec. 12 with every unit enjoying the event simultaneously.

It was all-hands-on-deck to serve this special holiday meal to this year’s 364 residents. The menu, which included shrimp cocktail, short rib, baked potatoes and more, was selected by residents at a menu planning meeting in preparation for the party.

There was live entertainment on all nine units – highlights included an Elvis impersonator, singers, a guitar player and more. It’s a real team effort with staff from every department and volunteers participating; serving food, singing, dancing and socializing with residents and families.

By all accounts it was a wonderful party. Here’s a snapshot of this year’s event…
